A 4th After School club opens in Gumdi
Hot on the heels of the Kurintar project, our 4th After School Club opens. We provide the salary for a teacher and an assistant and will provide resources and equipment. This caters for about 30 students who attend before and after school. If successful the local municipality will take over the running costs at the end of the school year.
A New After School club at Kurintar
After the success of our other 2 After School projects we were asked if we open another in Kurintar. This will provide the children of another marginalised community, help and encouragement with their school work and provide a safe place for them to be after school. At the moment they are using a temporary building but we plan to build a new facility in partnership with the local municipality

Our Support for Kumbeshwar Technical School
Our Success Story“My name is Chandra Jyoti Thapa. I lost my father when I was 4 months old and my mother when I was 9 years old. It was a very difficult time in my life. There was no one to look after me since all my brothers and sisters were very young. Then, one of my teacher heard about KTS and its facilities for children like me. So, I came to join the KTS orphanage and school through my teacher when I was 9 years old. I was admitted to Class 2. I lived in KTS orphanage while continuing my studies with the full sponsorship from KTS. KTS helped me to continue my study from grade 2 to Bachelor Degree. Currently I am working in KTS Primary School as a teacher. I really appreciate the support of the KTS team and respect Kiran sir from the depths of my heart. Without the help of KTS I could have never been in this position. I am very grateful and I would like to thank KTS team for their contribution, support and help for last 16 years.”- Chandra Jyoti Thapa
