Each year they select a different charity to support and this year it has been KASIN. The money is raised selling handmade cards and gifts and this year they have raised £2,000 which will pay for most of the salaries of 2 primary school teachers at Kumbeshwar Technical School.
The money is raised by selling hand made cards and gifts made by the Sisters, Associates and friends. Amongst the things we make are Rosaries, peg doll Sisters, and knitted toys which we sell to the pilgrims and visitors.
The Priory of Our Lady is part of the Society of St Margaret, we are a traditional Religious Order which was founded in 1855. The basis of our life is our prayer life with the 5 fold Office, Mass and 1 ½ hrs private prayer daily. Our prayer life then leads to our ministry here in Walsingham.
